Celebrating the life of

Phyllis Sica Brown

Passed away on December 15, 2023

Phyllis Sica Brown

It is with heavy hearts that we announce the passing of Phyllis Sica Brown, who peacefully departed this life on Friday, December 15, 2023, at the age of 83. Phyllis, born in Hartford, Connecticut, was the cherished firstborn of Francis Nelligan Camilarri and William Sica.

Phyllis dedicated a significant portion of her life in service to her community. Her professional journey included roles at the Hartford Police Department and Aetna, but her most cherished role was that of a devoted and loving stay-at-home mother to her two daughters.

Her spiritual journey was equally profound. Phyllis was an active and beloved member of St. Mark's Episcopal Church in New Britain, Connecticut, where her presence was felt through her commitment and compassion. She also found solace and community at Crossroads Church of God in Berlin, Connecticut, where her faith flourished.

Phyllis's artistic spirit was exemplified in her passion for crafting. She took joy in creating homemade cards that reflected her thoughtfulness and love, especially for birthdays and other holiday occasions.

Left to cherish her memory are her two daughters and two grand puppies, Jennifer and Chico Brown of Savannah, Georgia, and Allison and Chase Brown of Charleston, South Carolina. Phyllis is also survived by her sister and brother-in-law, Linda and Kim Gilbert, and a multitude of nieces and nephews.

Jenn & Ali, I was so sorry to hear about your Mom. I only met her briefly, but I know she had good heart & character because it’s reflected in the two of you! May the God that lead her through the years comfort and guide you. He came to heal the broken hearted. I love you!
